How to maintain brushless motor

The brushless DC motor not only has the advantages of AC motor's simplicity, reliable operation, convenient maintenance, etc., but also has the advantages of high operating efficiency and good speed regulation performance of DC motor, and because it is not restricted by mechanical commutation, it is easy to achieve large capacity and high Rotation speed has broad application prospects in aerospace, military industry, numerical control, metallurgy, medical equipment and other fields. In the early 1990s, the technology of civil electrical appliances began to develop rapidly, which led to the rapid development and application of electric bicycles. As a result, brushless DC motors have been widely used in electric bicycles.
In order to make the DC brushless motor function better, we must pay attention to daily maintenance and maintenance, but how should we maintain it to extend its service life and improve our work efficiency?

1. Before disassembling the brushless DC motor, use compressed air to blow off the dust on the surface of the motor, and wipe off the dirt on the surface;
2. Choose the working place where the motor is disassembled and clean up the site environment;
3. Familiar with the structural characteristics and maintenance technical requirements of brushless DC gear motors;
4. Prepare the tools (including special tools) and equipment required for disassembly;
5. In order to further understand the defects in the operation of the DC brushless motor, if possible, an inspection test can be done before disassembly;
It is recommended to overhaul the motor once after one year of operation. The purpose of overhaul is to conduct a thorough and comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the motor, promptly replace the missing and worn components of the motor, completely eliminate the dust and dirt inside and outside the brushless motor, check the insulation, clean the bearing and check its wear. Find problems as early as possible and deal with them in time. Generally speaking, as long as it is used correctly, maintained properly, and dealt with in time if the fault is found, the life time of the brushless motor is very long.
